1. Government Relations Specialist — Council of Ontario Universities (COU)
Working within the Public Affairs team, and reporting to the Manager, Government and Stakeholder Relations, the Government Relations Specialist works closely with colleagues and COU members to advance the interests of Ontario’s universities with government, political parties and key external stakeholders through relationship building, direct advocacy, and informing COU’s broader communications and policy agenda. COU invites applications from experienced professionals with backgrounds in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
2. Press Secretary — Green Party of Ontario
The GPO Press Secretary’s primary role will be to work closely with the Director of Communications to write and distribute press releases, respond to questions from reporters, pitch news ideas and monitor media coverage. The Press Secretary will also write speeches, statements, and copy for other strategic communications to support development and fundraising. The Press Secretary will need to maintain relationships with media individuals and organizations, travel with the Leader or spokespeople representing GPO at public events and produce content for various media.
3. Associate Director, Airport & Aviation Policy — Toronto Pearson
Reporting to the Director, Government Relations and Aviation Policy, the Associate Director, Airport and Aviation Policy will support in managing government relations Toronto Pearson’s engagement with key government and agency partners at the provincial, municipal and federal levels and is responsible for leading the development of government and stakeholder relations programs and policies related to supporting airport development projects, and aviation at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
4. Senior Policy Advisor — Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (3 positions)
The Branch is hiring three (temporary) Senior Policy Advisors across three Units: Strategic Integration Unit, Intergovernmental Strategy Unit, Policy Alignment and Cabinet Coordination Unit. Each of the Advisors will lead research, policy and program development with an equity and anti-racism lens, including providing advice on social policy issues, recommending options in consideration of ministry and government objectives. The Advisors will also lead policy analysis, including identifying/scoping the problem/issue, develop/advise/ recommend on policy options, and develop policy products that support decision-making.
5. Manager of Strategic Initiatives — City of Toronto
As part of the City Planning management team and reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Analysis, the Manager of Strategic Initiatives leads a team of both specialist and generalist professionals. This team provides focused and proactive real-time strategic direction, ensuring that citywide planning interests are met while also advancing innovative local initiatives. The Manager is responsible for developing and implementing workable solutions to complex policy challenges, offering a holistic perspective that informs the division’s future decision-making, plans, and strategies.
6. Senior Policy and Program Advisor — Ontario Ministry of Health
The Ontario Ministry of Health is seeking a Senior Policy and Program Advisory to help shape policy development and program design. The Advisor will lead and manage health policy and program projects; develop and implement health policies and programs; ensure policy options consider research, funding, governance, and stakeholder needs; create performance frameworks and measure outcomes; and build and maintain stakeholder relationships across jurisdictions.
7. Specialist Policy Analysis — Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation
CMHC is looking for a Policy Analyst Specialist to join its Housing Finance Policy Team where we accelerate housing affordability through evidence-based policy and research. The Housing Finance team develops policies relating to housing finance, with an eye on affordability, supply, economic stability, climate and social inclusiveness. The Specialist will be asked to develop and maintain relationships, access and analyze data and information relating to housing finance and housing markets, and use that data and information to make recommendations to government.
8. Lead, Patients Before Paperwork Health Policy — Ontario Health
Patients before Paperwork (Pb4P) is a provincial priority that has been identified as part of the drive to modernize Ontario’s health system. The Lead, Patients Before Paperwork Health Policy, will be responsible for the development of evidence-based policies and program enhancements, including materials to support change management. The Lead will work closely with internal clients and external partners to set strategic priorities, identify milestones, manage associated workstream(s) and ensure that Pb4P project objectives are continually integrated into portfolio plans and deliverables.
9. Manager, Programs and Research — Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance
Under the general direction of the Director, Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance, and reporting to the Executive Director of the School of Cities, the Manager, Programs and Research position takes a leadership role in the activities of the Institute, overseeing the Institute’s operations and designing major research programs in municipal finance and governance, as well as other projects. The Manager is responsible for the supervision of staff, working closely with authors to manage the production of publications, and establishing and sustaining relationships with stakeholders. In addition, the incumbent represents the Institute externally on high-level task forces and committees as required
10. Director, Policy & Advocacy (Canada) — Movember
Reporting to the Global Lead - Advocacy & Policy, the Director will direct the implementation of Movember’s Canadian advocacy and policy strategies – helping to build political will, strong alliances with civil society, shape public attitudes and create the necessary pressure to influence health systems. The Director will be leading Movembers skills, expertise and capabilities in advocacy & policy in Canada. The Director will also help fuel Movember’s engagement with key audiences and stakeholders that build political will for their advocacy focus areas.
