1. Senior Strategic Policy Consultant — City of Toronto (three positions) 🏙️📃
Reporting to Managers within the Housing Policy and Strategy Section of the Housing Secretariat, the Senior Strategic Policy Consultants provide strategic advice, make recommendations, and support the development and implementation of complex, multi-stakeholder programs and initiatives across the housing continuum, including developing supportive, affordable social and market rental housing, and advancing strategies to support renters and community housing providers. The successful incumbent will support the Division and City in advancing data-driven strategies to improve housing outcomes for Toronto residents in need, including Indigenous people, equity-deserving groups, renters, and people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
2. Engagement and Government Relations Consultant — College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) 🧑⚕️🏫
The Engagement and Government Relations Consultant helps CNO build and maintain relationships with government system partners and other health system partners, including the public, employers and registrants for purposes advancing CNO’s impact on nursing and the health system including health human resource planning. They play a key role in developing and maintaining CNO’s Engagement Strategy - working with teams across CNO to map out engagement priorities and approaches, build mechanisms to monitor activities, measure success and leverage opportunities to identify, build and enhance relationships.
3. Policy Development Officer — City of Toronto
Reporting to the Project Director, Refugee Response, the Policy Development Officer provides strategic advice and policy leadership for homelessness service delivery system to enhance services for refugees and refugee claimants who are experiencing homelessness. In particular, the Policy Development Officer will lead the development of projects and policies that support implementation of the divisional priorities related to refugees and refugee claimants. This includes drafting staff reports, briefing notes, presentations, authorization memos, Q&As and other documents that support the council process. 6️⃣🏙️
4. Senior Advisor — Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA)
Reporting to the Senior Director Strategy & Communications, the Senior Advisor will support various internal and intergovernmental initiatives to address the priorities and the strategic direction of ONWA. The Senior Advisor provides analysis, advice, guidance, and recommendations to ONWA’s portfolio teams and Senior Leadership on the development and implementation of programs that address issues affecting Indigenous Women and their families. ♀️🤝
5. Senior Policy Advisor — Ontario Ministry of Infrastructure
The Senior Policy Advisor role will: lead, coordinate and participate in the analysis and formulation of policies related to the Ministry's legislation, business directions and programs; support the development and implementation of strategic policy projects, legislation, and help provide agency governance related to the government's realty portfolio; and provide advice and expertise to ministry senior management, other ministries and agencies on the government's realty portfolio. The Advisor will also: conduct policy and program review, research and analysis, risk assessment, assess the financial, social, and economic/market implications of current/proposed policies and programs; and develop presentations options/recommendations and reports, proposals, and documents for senior management, the Deputy Minister and Minister. 🏗️🏢
6. Manager, Social Action — Family Service Toronto (FST)
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy and Innovation/National Director, Campaign 2000, the Manager, Social Action will play a key role in shaping and delivering on the department’s goals. The Manager, Social Action will help to solve public policy challenges with respect to social and economic issues that affect individuals, families, and communities locally, provincially and nationally. They will also identify and foster strategic relationships, track trends in policy, provide strategic advice to the senior leadership and coach a small dynamic team of professionals while helping to advancing a culture of social action and advocacy throughout the organization and community social services sector in Toronto and nationally. 👨👨👦👦👨👩👦
7. Government Affairs Specialist — Kelly Services (Canada) Ltd.
The Government Affairs Specialist will be focused on research and monitoring, providing support to the entire External Affairs Canada team, as well as Business Units, project teams and the rest of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) with specific focus on supporting team in coordination with business development in new ventures. The Specialist will manage several files at once, analyze multiple public policy perspectives, and educate internal clients on the specifics of policy implications for the business. 📣💼
8. Officer, Research and Policy — Toronto Catholic District School Board
Reporting to and under the direction of the Head of Research & Analytics, the primary function of this position is to provide administrative and project support and to enhance the efficient operations of the Communication, Research, Policy & Strategy department. This position will be expected to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with multiple teams to coordinate and manage specific tasks including making presentations, drafting reports, conducting jurisdictional scans, and disseminating information. ✏️🏫
